Avoiding Obstacles to the Gospel 1 Corinthians 9:1-27 Today’s Takeaways: 1. Rights are good, but the Gospel is better, which means we must be willing to forfeit our rights, at times, for the greater good of the Gospel. 2. Relating effectively to non-believers means developing an awareness of their potential obstacles to the Gospel. 3. Attuning ourselves to others, doesn’t mean we are to become Christian chameleons, but rather wise carriers of the Gospel. 4. Protecting ourselves from being an obstacle to the Gospel will require intentional discipline to keep our eyes on the prize set before us. Closing Thought to Ponder: In our world today, I’m not sure how many Christians really have grasped that the purpose of their life is to glorify God through living a Gospel shaped life. Having said that, what adjustments do you need to make to avoid creating obstacles to the Gospel by allowing the Gospel to freely flow through you?
